The sessions were disrupted by red flags. One in the first¹ and three in the second².

GTD PRO

It is the lesser of the two GTD appearing at Detroit (it was the main GTD category at Long Beach).

Corvette are at the front in Detroit, both in lap times and number of practice laps.

Vasser Sullivan Lexus are at the low end of the number of laps completed, and also the time sheet.

#40, #7, and #10 will lose its fastest lap in qualifying for causing a red flag³.

GTP

BMW have the fastest lap and look more consistent across the averages.
Aston Martin towards the bottom.

It is not uncommon to see BMW top the number of practice laps chart and once again we see that. Good preparation. Penske being low down is unusual, with JDC putting in one lap more than #6.

Also as usual Aston Martin are at the bottom of laps complete.

#9 and #3 will lose its fastest lap in qualifying for causing a red flag³.
