A quick look at Practice Performance.
- #12 Cadillac sets the consistent pace.
- Penske up there with fastest lap and lots of fast laps, but Proton at the bottom
- Lots of running from BMW and Toyota.
- Top Speed data has the same erratic behaviour as last year.
- Aston Martin has the fastest lap, but Lexus has the averages.
- A fun approach from #31 BMW and Farfus
- Much less variation in speed trap data compared to Hypercar
Hypercar
The average lap times

#6 had the fastest lap which looks like it was set in a qualifying practice run, but there are plenty of other good laps from both drivers.

Similar for #12 Cadillac too, but it did more laps and that, along with more laps that dipped under the 1:16 mark help it claim the longer average prize.

Top Speed?!
The crazy speed trap data is the same as last year. This doesn’t look like it is near the max speed.

The map positions it after the finish line, and the timing data suggests so too as it doesn’t register on an out-lap. Perhaps it is in the braking / lift and coast section?

Lappery
Importantly BMW and Toyota get the laps in, and an Aston Martin features high on this list.

LMGT3
Most of the fastest times came, unsurprisingly, in fp2.

Interestingly #31 BMW’s best lap came five minutes into fp1! Farfus putting some fast laps out of the box in, but then leaving it to the others who didn’t improvement and the car ended up at the bottom of the ranking.

Speed Trap
Less crazy for GT3, suggesting that it is lift and coast for Hypercar. Please note internet this is just a hypothesis.

Lappery
#92 Manthey Porsche leads the way. Don’t bet against it.

I come for the early read. I get the weird Farfus fact!
