#43 puts in the miles

The data presented below includes qualifying and practice so sees the fastest, but also the longer averages. That must be considered when viewing this – only one session and a handful of laps were competitive, but on race day the longer stints will be important – and those laps in the dark when the race finishes.

Here are the practice only charts.

LMP2

Build-Up laps

Inter Europol #43 still led the class on workload, ending the build-up on 140 laps, just ahead of CrowdStrike #04 on 137 and TDS #11 on 131. The lightest runner was again JDC-Miller #79 on 91 laps. They lost time after receiving a 60 minute hold for a technical infringement after it was discovered they have a ride-height sensor which is forbidden in this class1. Three LMP2 cars fell fowl of this in Daytona too.

Fastest Laps and Averages

There was no change at the top from the last analysis: Inter Europol #43 remained the outright benchmark with the fastest lap at 1:50.056 and the best Top 10, Top 20 and Top 40 averages. AO #99 stayed closest on single-lap speed, but #43 still had the strongest overall pace profile by every average metric.

Note: Total laps varies from chart above due to a different measurement point on the l

When Fastest laps were set

Such are the qualification requirements, the overall fastest laps still came from FP3, with #43’s 1:50.056 from Tom Dillmann remaining the best LMP2 lap of the build-up. Qualifying did not shift the headline order, so unlike some other cars, #43 had already shown its best outright pace before qualifying began.

Sectors

Inter Europol #43 remained the standout through the second and third sectors, fastest in both S2 and S3, which continues to explain why it leads the overall pace picture. CrowdStrike #04 was still quickest in the short S1, but #43’s advantage in the longer and more consequential sectors made it the more complete and repeatable package.

Drivers

Tom Dillmann remained the standout driver statistically, with the best lap, best short-run averages and strongest deeper-run averages, while also logging 58 laps for #43. Inter Europol’s supporting cast also kept adding useful mileage, so just as in the last analysis, #43 stands out for pairing elite headline pace with one of the most complete driver programmes in the class.

GTD

Build-Up laps

#912 Manthey Porsche did the most running on 124 laps, ahead of #28 RS1 and #36 DXDT on 116. The lowest totals were #27 Heart of Racing on 80 and #57 WINWARD on 81, so they were lighter on mileage but not dramatically so.

Fastest Laps and Averages

The fastest lap of the event became Dudu Barrichello’s 1:58.856 in the #27 Aston Martin after qualifying. #80 Lone Star Mercedes-AMG still leads the Top 10, Top 20 and Top 40 averages, so Mercedes remains the benchmark on repeat pace.

When Fastest laps were set

The key change is that the outright best laps are now mostly qualifying laps, with the top eight overall coming in QP. Before qualifying, FP1 still held the top headline times; that is no longer the case.

Sectors

Lexus #12 still stands out in the sectors, fastest in S1 and S3, while Mercedes #80 remains best in S2. Aston Martin #27 did not need to dominate one sector to go quickest overall, which suggests a very complete lap.

Drivers

Antonio Fuoco and Trent Hindman both did 56 laps, while Scott Andrews did 53 and still stayed right at the front on pace. Compared with the last analysis, qualifying reshuffled the outright fastest-driver order, but the long-run picture still points to the Mercedes cars—especially #80.

GTD PRO

Practice laps

Manthey’s #911 did the most build-up running on 117 laps, with Ferrari #033 and #62 both on 115 and AO Racing’s Roxy #77 on 110. The lightest totals were Ford #65 on 82, Lamborghini #9 on 85, and Mercedes-AMG #48 and Lexus #14 on 88, so there is still a clear gap from the biggest runners.

Fastest Laps and Averages

Lexus #14 now has the outright fastest lap with a 1:58.480 in qualifying, a notable step on from the FP3-only picture. AO Racing’s Roxy #77 still leads the Top 10, Top 20, and Top 40 averages, so it remains the standout on sustained pace even without the pole lap.

When Fastest laps were set

The pros in the car so every fastest lap in the ranking came in qualifying, not practice. That is the main shift from the last analysis, where FP3 had produced most of the headline times.

Sectors

Porsche still looks strongest on sector balance, with #911 quickest in S1, Roxy #77 quickest in S2, and both Porsches still near the top in S3. Lexus #14’s pole is backed up by sector shape as well, sitting second in S1, sixth in S2, and quickest in S3.

Drivers

Harry King was the busiest key driver on 60 laps for AO Racing’s Roxy #77 and also delivered a 1:59.544 plus the best Top 20 and Top 40 averages, which reinforces #77’s long-run strength. The big change since the last analysis is that Jack Hawksworth’s Lexus #14 converted its pace into the outright fastest lap in qualifying, but Porsche still has the deepest driver-average profile overall.

GTP

Practice laps

Cadillac #31 and Porsche #6 led the total workload on 121 laps each, with Porsche #5 close behind on 118 and most of the field sitting between 109 and 119. Aston Martin #23 was again the only clear low runner on 103, but nobody was dramatically under-miled.

Fastest Laps and Averages

The big change from the last analysis is on outright lap time: Cadillac #31 took the fastest overall lap with a 1:46.153 in qualifying, ahead of Acura #60 and Cadillac #10. Porsche still looks like the race benchmark though, with #7 leading the Top 10, Top 20 and Top 40 averages, so its place at the top on sustained pace remains intact.

When Fastest laps were set

The pros were on it so every headline fastest lap was set in qualifying, replacing the FP2 benchmark times that had defined the previous picture. That shifts the one-lap narrative toward Cadillac, but Porsche had already cemented its long-run standing in the darker FP3 session, which is more relevant to the race finish.

Sectors

Cadillac #31 still led S1 and now that early-lap strength converted into the outright fastest lap, while Porsche #7 remained best in both S2 and S3. That split still mirrors the broader trend: Cadillac is razor-sharp at the front of the lap, but Porsche is strongest through the parts of the circuit that underpin average pace.

Drivers

Jack Aitken became the standout one-lap driver with the fastest overall time for Cadillac #31, while Felipe Nasr still owned the best Top 5 average and Laurens Vanthoor remained best on Top 20 and Top 40 averages for Porsche. Tom Blomqvist again carried the heaviest driver workload on 69 laps for Acura #60, but Porsche’s driver group still looks the strongest overall when pace and race-style consistency are combined.
