Relative Performance – GTP

Short, medium, and long averages. Cadillac set the benchmark for race pace at Watkins Glen. The #31 Cadillac Whelen led every representative race pace metric, combining outright speed with excellent consistency over the full race distance.

The 2025 and fastest 2026 Porsche were pretty close, especially for Top 60 laps.

The #93 Acura Meyer Shank, #5 JDC-Miller Porsche and #24 BMW M Team WRT were the Whelen’s closest challengers.

The Wayne Taylor Cadillacs played the manufacturer team game while remaining near the front throughout the race.

Sectors

Cadillac was the only manufacturer to feature prominently across all three sectors. Acura’s #93 was quickest in Sector 1, while the #31 Cadillac led both Sectors 2 and 3. Porsche showed particular strength through the middle sector, and the #24 BMW was consistently competitive, especially in the final sector.


Drivers

Jack Aitken recorded the fastest lap and quickest Top 10 average, while Laurin Heinrich produced the strongest long-run pace over the Top 20 and Top 30 averages.

Sheldon van der Linde completed the most laps of any GTP driver with 121, maintaining competitive pace throughout his extended running.


Relative Performance – LMP2

Due to the nature of the Pro-Am category we see a great variation, especially intra-team.

AO Racing’s #99 produced the strongest race pace over the longer representative averages, while United Autosports #22 led the Top 10 average.

Inter Europol Competition’s #43 consistently featured near the front, ranking among the top three over the longer race pace metrics and continuing the strong form it displayed throughout the Watkins Glen weekend.

Sectors

The #99 AO Racing car was quickest in Sectors 1 and 3, while United Autosports #22 led Sector 2.
#43 Inter Europol stood out for its balance, ranking second in Sectors 1 and 3 and sixth in Sector 2, making it one of the few cars to feature near the front in every part of the circuit.

Drivers

Ferdinand Habsburg delivered the standout individual performance, leading the fastest lap together with the Top 10, Top 20 and Top 30 averages.
Tom Dillmann completed the most laps in class with 86 while maintaining front-running pace throughout his stints. Bijoy Garg also produced consistently competitive performances, helping keep the #43 among the fastest cars throughout the race.


Relative Performance – GTD PRO

The #14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus established itself as the benchmark over race distance, leading the Top 10, Top 60 and Top 108 averages. 

Ford’s #65 and #64 Mustangs consistently challenged throughout the race, while the #3 Corvette, #033 Ferrari and #77 AO Racing Porsche remained among the leading group. The #1 BMW recorded the fastest lap of the race.

Sectors

Lexus led Sector 1 through the #14, Ferrari’s #033 was quickest in Sector 2, while Ford’s #64 Mustang topped Sector 3. Corvette also featured strongly in the final sector, with the Lexus remaining consistently competitive across all three sectors.

Drivers

Jack Hawksworth produced the strongest long-run pace, leading the Top 20 and Top 30 averages, while Dennis Olsen recorded the quickest Top 10 average. Neil Verhagen set the fastest lap, and Nicky Catsburg completed the most laps in class with 115.


Relative Performance – GTD

The #27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin produced the strongest race pace over the longer representative averages, while the #023 Triarsi Ferrari led both the fastest lap and Top 10 average.

The #12 Vasser Sullivan Lexus, #068 CarBahn Aston Martin, #34 Conquest Ferrari and #36 DXDT Corvette all remained among the leading race pace contenders.

Sectors

The #13 Corvette led Sector 1, the #27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin was quickest through Sector 2, and the #068 Aston Martin topped Sector 3. Aston Martin consistently featured near the front across all three sectors, underpinning its strong long-run race pace.

Drivers

Aaron Telitz recorded the quickest Top 20 and Top 30 averages, while Kenton Koch set both the fastest lap and quickest Top 10 average.
Robby Foley completed the most laps in GTD with 85, while Tom Gamble was among the standout performers behind the pace of the Heart of Racing Aston Martin.
