BMW are often at the top or near the top of laps in any practicing. The same in the first session today. Aston are normally near the bottom, that is not the case! Hurrah! Ferrari and Alpine take that position today!

Quite a few drivers still need to get some more laps in.

These are a bit bitty because it is only the first session and cars are running through their system test and early part of their programme.

Aston Martin had the fastest lap

But 12 topped the averages

#7 Kobayahsi was top of the driver averages

Alpine was up there too

When were the times set?

All, but two car’s fastest laps were set in the afternoon session. The #7’s first session time did not count due to track limits.

Despite the quick times down the straight, Cadillac are not high on the speed trap figures.

Below gives an indication of the best tow laps and when the speeds started to drop off. So top 10 to 30 was used.
